Corporate Entertainment

Looking for corporate entertainment that is more specific than background music? Hollywood Groove is a seven-piece live movie-soundtrack band. If it suits the agreed brief, room setup and privacy settings, guests can opt into phone trivia, with a leaderboard on a suitable screen.

What you get

• A live band of movie hits — instantly recognisable songs from decades of film, performed live.
• Optional phone trivia — when agreed for your event, guests can play from their own phones in a browser (no app to download).
• An optional on-screen leaderboard — available when the room has a suitable visible screen and the production setup is agreed.
• A tailored trivia brief can be discussed for company, industry or milestone questions when the run sheet and production setup allow it.
• Flexible set lengths that work around speeches, awards and your run sheet.

Why it works for corporate audiences

The hardest part of any work function is giving different personality types a way into the night. The optional trivia helps because quieter team members can join from their table instead of needing to dance, and movie music gives the room common reference points across generations. You can see how the whole experience fits together on our about page, and the trivia side of the show in detail.

Great for

EOFY and end-of-year functions, Christmas parties, gala dinners, conferences, client events and team celebrations. If you’re planning around June, our guide to EOFY party entertainment in Melbourne walks through the timing and format.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need to download an app? No — the trivia runs in a phone browser. Guests scan a code or tap a link; no app-store download, no accounts.

Will it work for a mixed-age team? That is the intended fit: movie music is common ground, and the trivia gives non-dancers a way to take part when the room suits interaction.

Can you theme the trivia to our company? Tell us what you have in mind. Tailored company, industry or milestone questions can be scoped when they suit the brief, timing and review process.

What do you need in the room? We’ll check the space for seven performers, load-in, power and PA/engineer arrangements with your venue. If you want phone trivia and a leaderboard, we’ll also agree screen visibility, connectivity and privacy settings before including them.

Do you travel outside Melbourne? We’re Melbourne-based, play across Victoria, and travel for the right event.
