The Trivia Experience
Sing. Guess. Laugh. Repeat.
Not Just a Concert.
An Experience.
Hollywood Groove is a seven-piece movie-soundtrack party band with an optional browser-based trivia layer. When the brief and room suit it, guests can play along from their phones while the band performs recognisable movie hits.
How It Works
Three steps to join the fun
Open the App
Scan the QR code at the venue or visit the link on your phone. No download required — it runs right in your browser.
Answer Trivia Live
When the trivia layer is included, questions can appear between songs or sets. Guess the movie, name the year, spot the scene — the exact format is scoped to the room and run sheet.
Climb the Leaderboard
See your score update in real time. A leaderboard can appear on the big screen when screens, connectivity and the event format suit it.
Why Audiences Love It
More Ways In
Guests can sing, dance, answer movie prompts, watch the leaderboard or simply enjoy the band. The trivia is an optional layer, not compulsory participation.
Competitive & Fun
The live leaderboard can create table rivalries when the room suits that format. Groups can compete casually while the band keeps the music moving.
Music Meets Movies
Every song is a movie hit. The trivia connects the music to the films — which movie featured this song? Who sang the original? Name that soundtrack.
No App Download
The trivia runs in a phone browser, so guests do not need to install an app before joining a suitable play-along round.
Weekly online game
Episode 1: Melbourne Made: Aussie Music of the 80s & 90s
The weekly online game is a browser-based Hollywood Groove trivia format you can try separately from booking the live seven-piece band. It is useful for checking the play-along feel, but it is not a live event listing and does not replace a scoped band booking conversation.
